about the artist

Born in Montréal, Québec, Alicia Marulanda has pursued drawing and painting from an early age, and received formal training in Illustration and Design at Dawson College. With a focus on acrylic painting, her work examines themes of memory, love and family in an ongoing exploration of belonging shaped by social and domestic structures. Currently based in Toronto, she balances her artistic practice with a career in opticianry.
